Movement and Sleeping Position of the Naga Devta
?The Serpent Deity (Naga Devta) changes its position every three months according to the Bengali calendar. He always sleeps on his left side:
?Bhadra, Ashwin, and Kartik (Aug/Sept � Oct/Nov): The Naga sleeps with its head to the East, back to the North, and tail to the West.
?Agrahayan, Poush, and Magh (Nov/Dec � Jan/Feb): The Naga sleeps with its head to the South.
?Falgun, Chaitra, and Baishakh (Feb/Mar � Apr/May): The Naga sleeps with its head to the West.
?Jyaistha, Ashar, and Shravan (May/June � July/Aug): The Naga sleeps with its head to the North.

?Falgun, Chaitra, Baishakh (Feb � May): Auspicious in the North (Gaja).
